Stirling's vibrant local economy is perfectly demonstrated by the range of quality retail outlets trading in Stirling city centre and the surrounding local areas. A number of these quality retailers have been highlighted on this page. And the secret to their success and ability to compete with Internet based retailers is the fact that the are not just box shifters. They are offering quality, and very much essential, added value service and professional advice to customers for the products they are supplying. That's why they are still in business and that's why people still use them.
John Lewis is not physically in Stirling, so we have brought you the online version.
The Thistles also contains
its own historical site of 'The Thieves Pot' in the Bastion,
which is the old cell which formed part of the Old Town
walls and is included in the Heritage Trail. An 180,000
sq ft extension has also been added to the Thistles attracting
such names as C&A, Virgin Megastore, La Senza, River
Island, plus a 165 seat mall cafe and 30 additional well
known and international retailers. The Thistles also offers
1,000 car parking spaces, a Shopmobility Centre for disabled
shoppers, Stirling's new Bus Station and is connected directly
to Stirling's Railway Station.
