The Trossachs Trundler summer bus service allows you
to relax and explore the Trossachs without your car.
It links
the gateway resorts of Callander and Aberfoyle and takes
in some breathtaking scenery and popular attractions in
the stunning Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park.
The circular route with a flexible jump on jump off service
gives access to a wide range of fantastic walks, bike trips
and attractions. The trundler stops on request, so you can
get on or off at any point along the route. The bus is fully
wheelchair accessible, can carry up to two bikes and has
space for rucksacks.

on the Trossachs Trundler bus or at Stirling Bus station.

Why not explore the busy gateway to the Trossachs in the
shadow of Ben Ledi? Take a walk by the river, explore
one of the local trails by bike, go swimming, use the sauna
or try the indoor climbing wall at Maclaren Leisure Centre.
Drop into the Trossachs Visitor Centre, have a round of golf
or explore the shops and sample some superb local food.
Loch
Venachar Hire a boat and go fishing or enjoy some
locally produced refreshments at the stunning lochside
Harbour Café.
Brig
o'Turk You can explore the Woodland Trust’s
beautiful Glen Finglas Estate,
Where the Kings of Scotland once hunted. This is one of the
largest collections of ancient trees in Scotland, where John
Ruskin was a regular visitor. His most famous portrait was
painted at Brig O' Turk. Sir Walter Scott was similarly impressed
and wrote about the dramatic natural woodland of the area
in the 1850s.
Tigh
Mor Trossachs Overlooking Loch Achray, this is
the starting point for Ben A’an (454m). Despite
its modest height, the rugged hill offers a great walk,
full of character
and some of the best views in the southern Highlands.
Loch
Katrine is the inspiration for Walter Scott’s
Lady of the Lake and Rob Roy. Take a boat trip, hire a bike,
go for a walk or just enjoy a picnic. There are frequent
sailings of the famous ‘Sir Walter Scott’ steamer
and 'Lady of the Lake', the perfect way to explore Loch Katrine
and soak up the magnificant scenery.
Achray
Hotel is the starting point for a superb day hillwalking
on Ben Venue (729m), an enjoyable walk with stunning loch
and mountain views from the top.
David
Marshall Lodge The route climbs over the spectacular
Duke’s Pass to the Queen Elizabeth Forest Park Visitor
Centre. Have a swinging forest adventure at Go Ape and try
the longest zip slide in the UK. Take the Waterfall Trail
or visit one of the wildlife hides. Inside the Lodge there
is the opportunity to see watch ospreys with live pictures
beamed from the nest and a Ranger available to answer all
your questions. Don’t miss the coffee and cake at the
popular Bluebell Café.
Aberfoyle Explore this popular village, visiting the Trossachs
Discovery Centre or sampling some local food and shopping.
Port
of Menteith Take the short boat trip across Scotland’s
only lake to the tranquil Inchmaholme Island and it’s
charming and historic Priory.
